Translation Services Leader Kicks-Off Two-Day Conference in Beijing

Beijing, China (September 16, 2015) – CSOFT International, Inc., a leading provider of translation services and globalization solutions, announced the kick-off of its 11th Annual World Summit in Beijing, China, entitled “Innovations in the Sharing Economy.” Commencing September 16th, this year’s Summit will gather CSOFT executives, chief linguists, industry experts, media, academics and government officials from 30 countries for insightful discourse on how innovation is shaping the economy, with a particular focus on the translation services industry.

“Since our inaugural Summit in 2003, this event has evolved from an internal alignment meeting into one of Asia’s biggest localization events, dedicated to raising awareness of cross-cultural communications and addressing challenges in cross-border exchanges,” said Shunee Yee, President and CEO of CSOFT. “This week, we will also reveal our upcoming campaign aimed at recognizing translators worldwide.”

This year’s industry experts and keynote speakers include Marisa Drew of Credit Suisse Securities Europe and Bill Powell of Newsweek. CSOFT’s Summit will also offer breakout sessions on creating content for Chinese companies going global, how to manage quality, time and cost in localization and understanding the Localization Maturity Model. The Summit will feature a debate session entitled “Human vs. Machine,” which will examine the potential threat imposed by machine translation technology, as well as include a one-on-one interview with Zhang Yangyang of Kuang-Chi Science, a Shenzhen-based company involved in space technology.
