Dr. George L. King
George L. King, MD is the Director of Research, Senior Vice President, and Head of the Section on Vascular Cell Biology at Joslin Diabetes Center. Dr. King founded the Asian American Diabetes Initiative, as well as the Medalist Study, created to discover protective factors to prevent the development of diabetic eyes, kidneys, and nerves. His numerous awards include the Champalimaud Award and the Cogan Award from the Association for Research and Vision and Ophthalmology.
